I didn’t even have the energy to write last night because we were so exhausted, but what a fun day! First, we woke up, and went to the Washington Mall, and the Smithsonian Air and Space Museum. Here’s a pic I took of some WW2 relics:
After that, we went to Representative Debbie Wasserman Schultz’s office, where Otaimi gave us a tour of the Capitol Building. Here’s one of my favorite pictures from yesterday:
In this one, I love that the Capitol Building is in the background:
This is from the painting up at the top of the Capitol Rotunda:
This is my brother, standing in the exact center of Washington D.C. (in the Capitol Building).
After the Capitol Building, we hit the Bureau of Printing and Engraving (also known as the Mint), but there weren’t any pictures allowed there, so I couldn’t take any pictures of the sheets and sheets of money.
After the Mint, we walked over to the Washington Monument.
Then after walking over to the monument, we went over to the National Archives building. If you look closely at this picture, you can actually make out John Hancock’s signature on the Declaration of Independence:
We were non-stop all day. After the Archives, we decided to go to a Washington Nationals game, at the new Nationals Stadium, and all I can say is WOW, and AWESOME! The stadium is amazing! Its literally, right off the train station (the metro/train is the best mode of transportation), and when you step off the train station, you walk in overlooking center field. Here’s one of my favorite stadium pictures:
We got back to our room exhausted, and now its unfortunately time to go home!
Here’s one more flower pictures for the road
(we don’t have tulips down in FL!)
