Life is Beautiful (I’m in such a cheesy mood)

20 05 2008

Wow! Reading these past posts makes me realize how fast life can change. Literally, in an instant. Is it too cheesy to repost this chain email I once got?

“TIME”

To realize the value of one year:
Ask a student who has failed a final exam.

To realize the value of one month:
Ask a mother who has given birth to a premature baby.

To realize the value of one week:
Ask an editor of a weekly newspaper.

To realize the value of one hour:
Ask the lovers who are waiting to meet.

To realize the value of one minute:
Ask the person who has missed the train, bus or plane.

To realize the value of one second:
Ask a person who has survived an accident.

To realize the value of one millisecond:
Ask the person who has won a silver medal in the Olympics.

Time waits for no one. Treasure every moment you have.

I know, I know… Its the same chain email we’ve all gotten. But I can’t believe how in one short month, my life has completely turned upside down in a great way, but also in a sad way, because I hurt someone I loved in my growing process. Unfortunately, I accept that pain, also, is a part of life.

I feel like I have finally, FINALLY (!) found what I’m meant to be doing, and for anyone who’s ever had that feeling of accomplishment, of just knowing what you want to do the rest of your life (or almost the rest of your life, I mean, I would like to retire eventually), you know, its a HUGE sigh of relief! 🙂

While I’m at it (and feeling quite inspired), here are some more inspirational quotes:

“Make everything as simple as possible, but not simpler.” — Albert Einstein

“Insist on yourself. Never imitate.”—Ralph Waldo Emerson

“The weak can never forgive. Forgiveness is an attribute of the strong.” — Ghandi
